Being an Air Hostess is probably one of the most exciting jobs out there. The new places; the food; the adventures; the shopping! But the constant change in weather, lack of sleep and cabin environment really can take its toll on our skin which is why we always carry these 10 beauty products with us. At all times. To all destinations.
This cute little bad boy uses transdermal sonic pulsations (yeah I'm not really sure either) to deeply cleanse the skin eventually giving you a firmer, more refined skin tone. Foreo says that it is gentle enough to use every day but I just use mine after my flights to give my skin a well-needed boost and to make sure I've removed every scrap of makeup.
Let's be honest. We can all be a bit lazy from time to time and on occasions even go to bed with our makeup on! Which is why I always keep a pack of face wipes in my bathroom and in my suitcase. I particularly love these Johnson's ones because they work depending on your skin type so there's a pack for dry skin, oily skin, and combination.
I probably have a face mask for just about every concern but this is by far my favourite and an absolute skin saviour.
Unlike regular face masks, you apply this one just before sleeping instead of your moisturiser. It can be a bit uncomfortable when you first apply; there's a lot of laying on your back and trying not to move so your hair doesn't get on your face. But once your skin has absorbed the excess (or you've fallen asleep) it feels like you have nothing on and you wake up with hydrated skin.
I always use it when I travel as a passenger. It's less maintenance than a regular face mask and it doesn't scare anyone when they walk through the cabin in the dark.
I am kind of obsessed with this nail treatment; it's an overnight nourishing mask that leaves your nails rehydrated and looking good for the day ahead.
Knight in Shining Armour is the only product of it's kind and I have to say it really does work which is why I never travel without it. You can only apply it to bare nails so I use it in between polishes (usually every 3 - 4 days). I really suffer from dry nails and since using this polish I've noticed a huge change in the condition of my nails.
After any flight, this is your best friend! The iron shaped applicator really helps flatten out any creases whilst the gel works to cool puffiness leaving your eyes looking bright and slightly less jetlagged. I particularly love the fact that it works just as well over makeup than it does on bare skin, making it a hand luggage essential - especially when I'm working on a long flight!
I do not, in any way, shape or form condone the wearing of makeup whilst flying. However, for us air hostesses, it's a requirement.
The product sells itself as being able to keep your eyes makeup in place and looking fab for 24 hours or more. I've never needed to be in makeup for that long (though I have come close) so I can't vouch for its multi-day abilities. But I can tell you that it does hold my eyeshadow and gel eyeliner in place for the duration of my flights. And if it can do that in an aeroplane environment then imagine what it can do for a full day of sightseeing.
This is a fab cream if you're trying to travel light. It acts as a primer, face mask and radiance booster so it's really the only thing you need.
When I don't want to wear heavy makeup, I mix it with my foundation to create a long lasting tinted moisturiser. And when I'm flying I apply it over my makeup every couple of hours to keep my skin hydrated.
It's also a great product to use after a day in the sun or after the gym.
If you haven't invested in this sponge yet then you really need to get yourself to the store! I love how smooth and dewy my foundation looks when I use the Beauty Blender and I've noticed that I use a lot less product with this than when I use my fingers or brush. It works with powders, liquids and cremes so you don't need to pack a hundred different makeup brushes, just your sponge.
Not a lot of brands offer a lip scrub which I find strange considering the amount of exfoliators and scrubs that are on the market.
It comes in two other flavours but mint is my favourite and it is so easy to use; apply it to your lips, rub them together and lick it off (its sugar). Great for removing dry skin or leftover lipstick and far less abrasive than a toothbrush.
Because nobody likes getting their hotel only to find their razor has either broken or hacked some of their products to pieces. The cute little case keeps everything protected and slips easily into any cosmetic case.
